Dishes2U Steps Up to Celebrate Teachers, Charter Schools

“Ashley reached out to vendors who wanted to give back to teachers during the week of May 3-9, which is not only National Charter Schools Week, but also National Teacher Appreciation Week. Devi, President of Dishes2U, was the first to respond. Devi has sponsored four teacher luncheons for that week and reached out to four more schools for lunches as well. Devi’s company, Dishes2U, fills the need for schools, businesses, camps and other groups that require onsite meals. To learn more about how your school could utilize Dishes2U, contact Devi Orlandella at A huge thank you to all of our corporate supporters that stepped up to give back to our schools for this important week!”

Happy almost-end-of year! Most of you have probably finished up or are close to finishing up your AZMerit testing. I have heard wonderful reports thus far of your student’s experience with the test, and how well your testing coordinators and staff are supporting the students as they go through testing season. I would love to hear your feedback on the test, so please feel free to send any comments my way.

National Charter Schools Week is quickly approaching on May 3-9 and we would love to hear about any events you may be hosting and hear about your success stories from this year. Below are a few highlights from the week:

-I reached out to our corporate supporters to identify any that may be interested in sponsoring or supporting events the week of National Charter Schools Week (which is also Teacher Appreciation Week). Thanks to those of you that have stepped up to give back to our teachers that week!

-Progressive school tours: are you interested in showing off your school? Contact me to learn how you can schedule a tour with other leaders and staff to showcase your school!

-Are you living in Surprise or nearby? Arizona Charter Academy is hosting a blood drive on Friday, May 1. Contact me at to learn more.

-As the next school year is quickly approaching, I’ve been busy posting a lot of jobs for our schools and helping teachers get placed in excellent charter schools! Please contact me if you know of a teacher looking for a job, or if you need a job posted.

-A big thank-you from the Business Team for hosting Cameron Quick and me in Tucson and Prescott this past week. We are honored to serve our schools across the state!

Have a great week everyone!
